Soccer season is almost over and I haven’t posted any pictures! There are 5 more games left. The difference between last season and this season is astounding.
Last year, Jackson was one of the youngest kids on the team. In a game, he hardly ever got to handle the ball offensively. He was a great defender though.
This year, Jackson is one of the older kids on the team. He’s more than held his own on the field. He’s even done a good job as goalie.
Although we’re not supposed to keep score, Jackson’s team has won as many games as they’ve lost, and they tied the last one.
There are three kids on the team who are real powerhouses. You can tell their dads work with them. The two youngest kids on the team always try their best, and sometimes they even get to kick the ball. No one is really a troublemaker, though there’s one kid who doesn’t listen too much in practice.
Max is doing pretty well as coach. I don’t go to every practice, but he’s only really yelled at the kids at one practice. And they deserved it. He needs some help in communicating with the other parents and the assistant coach. Overall, however, he’s doing much better than I thought he would, commanding 10 four- and five-year olds.
And now, the pictures…
