It’s Been Awhile

(originally posted on LiveJournal)

I forgot how much I hate how Safari interacts with LiveJournal.

*sigh*

OK… so, I was going to post about the sheer amount of Twilight fan-fic I’ve been reading over the last several  months, but then realized I probably shouldn’t advertise my blatant addiction.

We need to add a room to our house. I need someone to draw it. I have no idea how to go about finding this person.

When I was in high school, I had a perfect complexion. Now I’m middle-aged, and my face is all red. I have to find a paraben-free, fragrance-free, menthol-free, phthalate-free face wash/moisturizer or something. The Body Shop changed the tea tree wash and lotion. Blah.

We also need health insurance, because starting March 1, we have to pay for COBRA. My son’s birth mother has better insurance than we do. Why? She has MEDICAID. I fail to see how someone who works full-time should have to pay over $1K per month for crappy insurance when someone who doesn’t/can’t work full-time gets everything-is-covered free insurance. I don’t begrudge S, not at all. I’m pissed off at Congress and the US government as a whole.

Yeah, this is why I don’t write  more often. My brain is a strange and disordered place.

I actually have 29 “favorites” but some of them haven’t been updated in quite some time, and some are just ones that I want to check out but haven’t, and some are pretty bad but I keep them there so I don’t accidentally go and read it again and think “this sounds really familiar…”

Yeah I do that too 🙂 And I had like 68 favorites on ffnet, but they all keep getting yanked for violating the terms of service. I’ve heard good things about Ithaca is Gorges and Stolen Singer. And I think I’ve read Bright Like the Sun, but now I can’t remember it? I’ll have to go back and check. Thanks for the recs!

If you have any recs for me, please let me know. I’m not opposed to ff net, I just prefer Twilighted’s design.

Bright Like the Sun is an all-human version in which Edward’s like a pyromaniac or something. I like Bella’s voice in it.

Oh no I haven’t read that then, but I did hear about it! Most of the stuff I read is all M rated. If you’re okay with that, here is my all-time favorite series. It’s all vamp and starts with the honeymoon. Pretty lemony but I LOVE the character depth she creates in all the Cullens. It is seriously beautiful. It’s what the series should have been.
http://www.twilighted.net/viewstory.php?sid=3758
Pt2: http://www.twilighted.net/viewstory.php?sid=4767
And she just started pt3, and is about to have a baby, so it might be slow going:
http://www.twilighted.net/viewstory.php?sid=10913
Emancipation Proclimation: http://kharizzmatik-ep.blogspot.com/?zx=90ebd02eb0b54a8a It’s pretty dark…Carlisle’s in the mob, and Bella’s a slave, but it’s a great story!
And The Workshop, A Tale of Edible Delights http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5384904/1/The_Workshop_A_Tale_Of_Edible_Delights
It’s all human and I love the Bella in this one.
Hmm, I have lots more, but that should keep you busy for a while 🙂

Check out anything by Aubrey Organics and Welleda. These are great natural products, I have Celiac Disease and my wife has Psoriasis, so nothing enters our house that can f with our skin in any way!

Also, we have been loking at what insurance we will be getting for our surrogate, and are probably going with Kaiser. I know it’s Kaiser, but, if you guys can swing it it would be about $700 for 3 people for their deluxe plan.

I will check those brands out, thanks!

We can’t use an HMO. I have a strange disorder and must see a pain specialist and take experimental medicine that is only available from one pharmacy in the US. Sucks to be me! 😛

Tell me what you think
