Sometimes, Good Things Happen to Good People

Awhile back, I posted about my good friend Kellie, who has decided to spend the summer going to every Police concert she can reasonably get to. The important part to note about that post is:

Kellie also created the Oligarchy of the Flag. She and her husband created a green flag with the drummer’s logo on it, so that when she got to the airport in Vancouver (for concerts 2 & 3, I think) her ride would know her. Well, now the flag is traveling all over the US & Europe, being signed by Stewart Copeland’s fans.

Kellie went to their concert in Cleveland. Stewart saw the flag! In fact, Stewart saw the flag while Kellie was holding it. In fact, Stewart:
turned toward us, lowered his head, looked right at me, raised his right arm, and pointed right smack-dab at the Flag. …  BUT the especially amazing part – and man, Thank You, Stewart, because there is no other way to describe this as anything other than really sweet – he then extended his other arm in what Nancy described as a kind of introducing gesture (both arms extended out, palms up) right at me with these big krazy eyes and this HUGE toothy boyish grin and just stood there and smiled for a few seconds. I can hardly believe it myself, but Stewart planted his feet, put out his arms, and took this long smiling moment while 20,000 people stared and screamed.
(In case you couldn’t tell, Kellie wrote that.)

And if that weren’t enough, Stewart actually posted to the forum:
I love seeing the green flag out there. It was so close in Cleveland that Andy almost tripped over it.
Many, many thanks for all of your support. I love you all

I’m so glad that my friend gets to have some wonderful experiences, especially after what she’s been through. She totally deserves good things! Here’s a picture of the amazing moment: http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b85/yardsale2b/SC-7-16-07-B.jpg
